WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Chris' Philosophy:
Chris offers a range of talent both in his riding ability and in the aptitude of the horses he rides. He has horses that he is preparing for the larger futurities as well as horses for his youth and amateur exhibitors for the all-around events. Chris’ philosophy has always been quality over quantity. He keeps his operation small enough to insure his clients and their horses receive his personal attention. He is dedicated to pairing horses that are suitable for each rider’s talents, abilities and goals.
Facility:
The 20-acre facility has a 38 stall show barn of which 15-stalls are heated. The facility also has a 60 x 120 indoor arena, timed lights in each stall, heated wash rack, observation room, a large 100 x 200 outdoor riding arena, an enclosed 6-horse walker, an attached round pen and multiple individual turnout paddocks.
Horse Care:
All horses that are in Chris’ training program receive excellent care. They are fed, twice daily, the very best alfalfa hay and an 18% custom feed. In addition, they are all on a rigid worming, vaccination and shoeing schedule. The horses are ridden and/or turned out daily.
A weekly lesson is included in the training program. Private and group lessons are available for individuals that are not in the training program.
Show Coaching:
At the shows, coaching is provided to customers. Included in the day fee is show ring preparation for both the exhibitor and horse, practice of individual patterns before each class and feedback from each performance. Banding and braiding is also available for an additional charge.
